FoxPro Analyst:
Currently designing, developing and implementing a major revision to its
statewide WIC application and database systems. A Programmer/Analyst is
needed to assist in the maintenance of the present distributed system, which
is written in FoxPro 2.6 DOS, to assist in modifications of the distributed
system, to assist in porting the distributed system to Visual FoxPro, and to
assist in the development of utilities. The contract Programmer/Analyst will
resolve technical issues that may arise with the existing Texas WIN clinic
distributed system that is installed in over 800 sites throughout Texas.
This will include problem analysis and designing, coding, testing,
debugging, implementing and documenting resolutions. Additionally, the
Programmer/Analyst will be tasked to code, test, implement and document
utilities written in Visual FoxPro 8.0.

Experience includes automation system technical documentation, requirements
analysis and/or management, SQL, Visual Basic, MS Access, Visual FoxPro,
Netware 3.X, NT 4.0 or higher.

The contractor/programmer analyst is expected to become fully knowledgeable
and competent on the Texas WIN system. The level of competency expected is
at the Systems Analyst level. The selected contractor/programmer analyst may
be provided on-the-job training on the Texas WIN system, however, full
working knowledge of the required experience levels listed on the Applicant
Experience Form is a prerequisite to being able to function in this
position.

Qualifications Requirements of Contractor programmer Analyst:
Required Skills/Experience (Software, Hardware, Server):
Minimum 5 years experience with FoxPro 6.0 or higher; minimum 5 years
experience with requirements analysis and/or management; minimum 5 years
experience with automated systems technical documentation; and minimum 3
years experience working with MS SQL Server.

Desired Skills/Experience (Software, Hardware, Server):
Hardware - IBM PC or compatibles, Hewlett Packard Laser Jet printers;
Server - Netware 5.X; Win2000 Advanced Server; Software - Windows 2000 or
higher, Crystal Reports, UML, and Visual Basic. Prior TDH experience; Prior
WIC experience.

The Programmer/Analyst is expected to be knowledgeable of data flow
diagramming, business area flowcharting, entity relationship diagramming and
requirements analysis/management and highly skilled in software
development/maintenance in both Novell and NT development environments. The
Programmer/Analyst is expected to be capable of working independently and in
work group situations with minimal instruction.
