>Thanks for the information. My problem is that I'm often searching a stored procedure to see if it is going to return a field I need or if I need to modify it. I have to scan the whole stored procedure instead of being able to use a "Find" function and type in the name I'm looking for. I've gotten so I copy the whole stored procedure, paste in in notepad and then do the Find. It works, but seems like MS just forgot that basic functionality that is in most window applications.

kirk,

If you open the Stored Procedure in Query Analyzer, then the Analyzer does allow you to do a CTRL+F find and CTRL+H find/Replace. I use it often because we have quite a few Stored Procedures that are very lenghty.
