Then you must not know anyone personally that is fighting the war on terrorism or anyone that was a victim of terrorism. It exists, it is real, and it is a threat. I support the war on terrorism whether or not you believe it exists. We will always disagree on that one.

Regardless, if U.S. troops were in Iraq solely for oil then the U.S. would be receiving massive quantities of oil or money from the sale of it from Iraq which to my knowlege it is not. The U.S. is spending 4-5 billion a month in Iraq. Even if the U.S. benefitted from oil production in Iraq, oil production would not even finance the costs of reconstruction in Iraq let alone benefit the U.S. Forecasts estimate oil revenues in Iraq at 10-12 billion annually which compared to the 4-5 billion a month the U.S. spends in Iraq now is miniscule.
