I can open a table here containing over 600,000 records, over 85Mb in size, with a 11Mb CDX file in a small fraction of a second (instantly)...across the network. Also tried it on an old, 200mhz Pentium machine...still almost instant response.
Like Greg was suggesting, I would turn off all virus programs, go back into VFP and USE it again, and see if it makes a difference.
What kind of indexes? And how large? Are there lots of deleted records? Does packing the table help? What about PACK MEMO?
Just some things to try....
