Not sure what my mental block is on this one, but all I'm really doing is creating a cursor in the INIT of the form (also tried the LOAD and the BeforeOpenTables of the DE), setting the RecordSource of the grid to it and expecting to actually see records when I run it. I've stepped through and there are records and it seems that the code to set the RecordSource is cool - blank it then set it to the alias and field list - but, no records. The RecordSourceType is 1-Alias. I don't want a physical table attached as this is just a prototype form and I'm creating sample data in cursors to be used when I run the form.
