>Fuchs is the German word for "Fox" - it's just an interesting coincidence. My ancestor on my Father's side came to the midwest in the early 1800s and anglicized Fuchs to Fox and then changed back to Fuchs (pronounced Fukes with a long U)again for some reason.
>Also, I believe there was actually a German Visual Foxpro magazine called "Fuchs!"!

>>Am I mistaken or have you changed you last name? I noticed this several months ago but didn't ask at the time. I at first thought it was a UT anomaly or my failing memory, but I seem to recall it being different in the past. Did you change it to Fox as a tribute to your favorite programming tool?

Hi Claude, Thanks for the explanation, but I'm not sure that I understand. Have you changed/anglicized Fuchs to Fox or is UT translating your last name to Fox?
