I see that from time to time.
You go on a web site and you see the name of the users (clients) of a given application made by that company?
I understand that it could be good to mention names so that potential customers could become interested by the product. I guess that the potential customer could think "Hmm if that software is good enough for the BIG company XYZ than it's probably good enough for us".
But there's the other side. You give the name of your users to your competition. That could prove to be a dangerous move?
How do you feel about that practice of telling the name or your customers?
