Yes, Fox2x tables are still 'DBFs'...this all relates to prior versions of Crystal - if you had a distributed app that reported directly off VFP tables, I think (and it's been years since I ran into this) you had to distribute an ODBC driver.

As I recall, the only way around this was to extract out the data you wanted, copy it to a temp location as Fox2x tables, and tell Crystal to use that data for the report.

I wasn't sure if this was ever changed, and then I saw Craig's message about BO no longer supporting DBF files. (I'm a little puzzled by this, because there's an option in CR10's database expert to specifically define a report database using xBase/DBFs, but maybe Craig has heard something more recently).
