>Is there a way to turn off input (keyboard and mouse) briefly while a process completes, then, turn them back on?

Kind of...

You can use
declare BlockInput in win32api integer lBlockIT

* To block:

BlockInput(.t.)

* To unblock

BlockInput(.f.)
The drawback of this is that if the user press {CTRL+ALT+DEL} and then escape, then the keyboard and mouse are unlocked.
