The Inside book is a really good one. There are two others that I found very helpful in getting up to speed:

SQL Server 2000 Programmming by Example, Que Publishing (Fernando Guerrero and Carlos Rojas)
Guru's Guide to SQL Server, Addison Wesley (Ken Henderson) (a little more advanced)

Also, Professional SQL Server 2000 Database design by Louis Davidson is a good one. I only read pieces of it, but picked up some good tips.
