Visual FoxPro (FMQ) Frequently mocked questions
(editors note - some of the original answers were self-mocking if read carefully)

Q: What will be added to VFP after version 9.0 is released?
A: We only discuss products that we hope survive. Please notice that we frequently discuss .NET - even versions that are over two years away.

Q: How does VFP 9.0 relate to Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005?
A: Visual Studio is the product that you should use. Remember, this is exactly what we will tell your customers.

Q: How is VFP related to Longhorn?
A: Longhorn will make VFP obsolete. We will not tell you this until Longhorn actually ships. Constant painful upgrades are part of our plan for World Domination.

Q: Is the VFP team aware of any issues with VFP 8.0 and the upcoming Windows XP SP2?
A: VFP actually works.

Q: Will VFP 9.0 include PDF output support for the enhanced report writer?
A: No. Please notice that if we had any love for the product, PDF support would have been in the product some time ago.

Q: Are there plans to enhance the 2 GB database size limit in Visual FoxPro?
A: Duh. The purpose of any MS dev tool is to sell MS SQL per seat licences.
Get it?

Q: Are there plans for Visual FoxPro to support 64-bit versions of the Windows operating system?
A: No. Please notice that we want you to switch to .NET. Get it?

Q: Should VFP developers who are learning and adopting .NET programming chose Visual Basic or C# as their primary .NET programming language?
A: Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
