I agree with Bruce. I think Bela is trying to secure things where no security is possible. The probalility that the .DBC will fail is much greater than that a user ( and I exclude myself of course) deletes a file, unless we cannot exclude bad faith of course. And security against bad faith is definitely out of scope here, I know a burocrat who can confirm this. :)
