Actually, you wouldn't < s >. In Chapter 4 of MegaFox: 1002 Things You Wanted to Know About Extending VFP we have a time spinner class that advances each time segment ( Hours, minutes, or seconds ) depending on which segment is highlighted.

If you have the book, you may be able to adapt some of the code to meet your needs ( such as the code that decides which segment is highlighted and the code that handles moving the highlight when the user presses the arrow keys ).
