That's a completely different problem, which is a result of that you remove or change the recordsource. I suggest that you DO NOT zap at all! In stead you DELETE ALL and SET DELETED ON.

Actually, in this situation, ZAP is the best solution because ZAPping a table does not close it < s >. The problem here, I think, is that the

USE < My Table > EXCLUSIVE

is closing the Grid's RecordSource < s >.
