Glad you got it working! Using the network was a great idea - no doubt you did something like
NET USE X: \\NTBox\C$
to get access to the drive.

For safety's sake, I'd put TIMEOUT=2 (at least) back in the BOOT.INI so you'll be able to troubleshoot again, in future, if need be.
