I never made a thorough test but did test anyway. My findings was that LOCATE is the winner overall. In cases Go top is faster but difference is less than twice. If it's a case where LOCATE is faster than difference was more than 6 times.
PS: I very rarely (almost to none) use set filter and things might have changed.
