Thanks for the reply. One other wrinkle is the fact that I am using SPT with ODBC. I have DSN'less connections lnconnect1 to DB1 and lnconnect2 to DB2. Apart from the fully qualified data name dbo.owner.tablename is it possible to do the SELECT across the databases?
