Title:
Where do offline view files need to be stored?
Greetings!
My application relies on offline views. I just tried working with offline view files that are in locations other than the ones where they were created. For example:
1. I take a view offline into a folder named "StartingPlace".
2. I copy the files into a folder named "WorkingArea".
3. I copy the .dbc file and its related files into "WorkingArea".
4. I erase the files in "StartingPlace".
When I open the copy of the database that is now in "WorkingArea" and try to use the view, I get a message saying that file c:\StartingPlace\MyViewName.dbf does not exist.
Does this mean that when I am working with offline views, I have to have my files in a directory tree that matches the one I was using when I took the views off line?
Thanks very much!
