Was having the same problem here this week, here's an answer that I found on Novell's site that seems to have done the trick:

Add the following to the config.fpw for the app:
memlimit = 50,6144,8192
mwcount=2000

I also turned off the Enable Client Caching on the server which seemed to speed things up greatly.
