If you really need nine separate fields, then you have to select each one as it's on top and move it out of the way to get to the others under it. Then move them back when you're done.

But another option that may work for you is to use a single field or fewer fields with IIF expressions in them that determine what to show in that field under various conditions. The new ICASE structure in VFP 9 makes this easier.
