Visual FoxPro and .NET
Joel -
what ? you HAVE TO GO TO THOSE languages ?
hmmmmmmmmm
if not - and ..
if you are not doing winforms in dot net - and browser app instance only -
I suggest to you that you can do what ever you need [in net] instead with a vfp hook into your webserver [apache or IIS] with one of the following:
1 Active FoxPro Pages
2. Active VFP
3. foxweb
4. West Wind WebConnect
1 and 2 have excellent frameworks for RAD - have you evaluated them ?
but - if the answer is YES - HAVE TO GO TO THE DOT NET ARCHITECTURE -
then I recommend ADO.NET with some vb.net thrown in , and a smattering of C#.
If you understand the syntax of VFP OO programming, you'll find C# a tad easy to write code...
mondo regards [Bill]
