"Fresh out of school" is a pet peeve of mine.

And 14 out of the 15 languages listed range from the obscure to the trully esoteric. I wish the academic world were more in touch with reality than it is.

I feel sometimes, that time and money would be better invested if one paid a chosen college the full tuition up front, and got a degree after 4 years of actual work experience, without setting foot on campus.

I had a traumatic experience with an intern who was majoring in computer science, and a few more less terrible (due to very lowered expectations) with people "fresh out of college". Particularly one that wanted to be a teacher yet had her own very unique concept of what "common sense" is. If I ever have kids, I really fear for their future. One in particular expected to be treated with the same respect as another person with a bachelors, but 10 years of experience, just because they shared the title, which was a BA, but should've been an absolute BS. ;-)
