>I have 2 apps that use a modeless 'airplane terminal' style screen to show current activity in a grid refreshed periodically by a timer. Users can click in the displayed grid to access edit forms. I also use a menu to allow navigation to other portions of the app, and my Quit function for the app is on the menu. If the user clicks in the grid, then decides to exit the app by choosing the Quit menu option, it always generates a C5 error. In the compiled EXE this is not such a big deal, since I can prevent the user from seeing the error. However, in development, it is a major annoyance, booting me from FoxPro regularly. I have tried programmatically changing the focus in the form to another control, closing the form before quitting, and displaying another form before quitting, all to no avail. This behavior is the same in VFP6 and VFP8.

Can you stop the timer before quiting? I think, the problem may be related with the timer.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
