I'm trying to judge from the User's perspective. In my opinion as a user (since I hadn't chance to look at the code yet, was "busy" with some other stuff) it should look like in Windows Explorer. It also should look like the whole record if we're dragging record. I do not know, how it would complicate this thing, but I'm just telling an opinion, not insisting on it, of course.
