for modem on a pc - tapi is your friend.
For offices utilizing PBX's - take a look at exceletel's toolsets - they work rather well.

Are you wanting to do screen pops in VFP for an inbound call center ? or link up customer records based on incoming line ???

Some PBX's have software that turn a PC into a virtual handset, and there is linkage there and software libraries that can be utilized with VFP.

The majority of stuff I've written is for outbound calling, so I'm a bit 'off' on inbound capture stuff.

However - look for 'telephony acd' in a google search - that should get you started with some toolsets that are not that vendor specific.
