There seems to be a gremlin in my computer that is stealing cycles.

A few symptoms:

1) When doing a search in all methods of a VFP form (ctrl+F) there is a noticieable pause (between .5 and 1 sec) between each method lookup.

2) When extracting from a Zip file with WinZip, again a very noticeable pause between files.

3) 200 sec startup. This in a 2ghz machine with 512 MB and the following startup programs: SQL Server, Norton Antivirus, Zone Alarm, MSN Messenger, and a battery monitor power sentry.

4) When copying files with Windows Explorer from one directory to another, again the noticeable pause between files.

Most of these proceses are normally blingingly fast (not startup)
