Luckily, I didn't need any of such heavy artillery, just needed to log in as admin. The {insert expletive at will} SQL server, namely the Enter Prize Manager (misspelling intentional) should have had the courtesy to let me know my rights. Instead, it just did nothing but reported success. Did so seven times... which made me suspicious after a while :).

And isn't the syntax just great? To truncate log, you have to backup log, which doesn't actually create any backups. Eugene Ionesco would have made such a lovely absurd comedy using this syntax...
