Absolutely nothing to laugh about as far as FPD26 goes - it is an awesome platform. I know a lot of places that still use it - and it works great.

As far as zipping... could you write a small app in vfp that you could launch from the Dos app? You could just RUN the exe.

>Please don't laugh, but we have a legacy app in FPD26 that now has to send up periodic files to a central site. I'd like to be able to create tables of new/mod records and then zip these tables into a smaller file and then pass it to the ftp server at the central site. Since FPD26 doesnt handle DLL files.. does anyone know of a PLB file that can do this? And while I'm at it, I might as well ask for the moon and throw in the following parameters that would make my life easier (*grin*).. 1) freeware, 2) the ability to pswd the file, 3) zip format compatible. I think thats it. Oh yeah.. other than that.. is my only other solution to call an external file like pkzip.exe and cough up the money to license the 50 or so sites that are statewide? ... oh yeah.. I guess I could move the FPD26 app into VFP.. but that's not really an option at this time.. budget constraints.. Thanks in advance to all that take a look at this.. and all comments/suggestions would be welcome.
