There are only a small amount of MSDN subscribers and web users in proportion to the 100,000 est. users of VFP. This is based on common sense and everything I've read here on the UT and elsewhere. And there will be even a smaller amount of people online that will read your postings with the whitepaper links. Therefore, only a tiny fraction of all vfp developers will see these whitepapers. That is a shame. This information would reach a wider audience if it was included in the base product itself because those limitations wouldn't apply. It also would help to sell the product, IMHO, since it would appear to make VFP a continued player with MS's mainstream products.
Yes, I think it's dangerous to rely on 3rd parties for documentation and examples if they are selling related products and services. This is also common sense, IMHO.
>>Sounds like a Microsoft policy thing. I don't think it's working though. Not enough developers see this material and it looks like policies like this will keep it that way..

>What data or evidence do you have to make this conclusion? We don't receive customer feedback, product support issues, or survey data that indicate this assumption is true. It seems from your messages that your real issue is third parties creating content rather than the VFP team at Microsoft. I'm just trying to get a straight answer on what you want and why to understand your reasoning better. :)
