One of the cool things about the ByteFX Mysql provider is that it includes a MySqlHelper class very similar to the Data Access Application Block (the DAAB) that Microsoft provides for the SqlClient provider on the Patterns and Practices site. I like the fact that this helper is directly built into the same assembly and doesn't require anything additional.
