I don't know the answer to that, I don't think I've ever tried it in fact. I'd assume that doing a MODI DATA on the VFP6 DBC would convert it to VFP8. Once that's been done VFP6 can no longer use it.

I don't have time right now to test this premise I might be able to try it this weekend.
