Steve, according to the VFP8 EULA, (there was a major thread on this a while back), you can only keep both versions if it's not an upgrade to VFP8. If it is, you are required to delete the version upgraded from. Having an MSDN also allows keeping all versions on the system.
So, if he upgraded to 8 from 6, he's required to delete 6 (after a reasonable time). Guess who MS feels has the right to define reasonable.
