Let's say that my upcoming subscriber survey shows that a substantial number of FoxTalk readers want information about COM Interop with .NET. I then need to decide what approach to take with any article or articles that I commission on the subject.

What would you prefer to see:

1) Basic article about how COM Interop works with samples showing .NET using VFP COM objects and VFP using .NET objects. (not really too much to show there -- it's quite simple to do).

2) A Case study-type of article that shows an actual project where someone used COM Interop to solve a real-world problem or leverage existing code.

3) A COM Interop Tips and Tricks article (frankly, I don't know if there are many tips and tricks, based on what I have read and seen so far, but it might be a possibility).

I am open to providing material like this in FoxTalk (if enough subscribers are interested), but I don't want to just regurgitate the same thing that already exists in other places.

From my point of view, COM Interop is not rocket science, and there may not be all that much to dig into to make a very interesting article, aside from what has already been written elsewhere.

Have you tried it yet, and if so, what challenges or problems did you run into that might be addressed with an article?
