First of all ZA has issues related to NTFS file system. Actually it would not allow you to run CHKDSK on your system partition if it is NTFS.
If you wish to only block intrusions and not to report them IPSEC together with Windows ICF will do the job.
But if you wish to know whether and who has tried connections to your system, I would recommend Outpost firewall (free) or Kerio Personal Firewall.

If you wish to secure corporate network than consider purchase and setup of corporate firewall server like Microsoft ISA server.
