I recently upgraded my home machine to WinXP Pro. The machine already had .NET frameworks 1.0 and 1.1 on it. I then installed IIS for web development. Launching VS.NET 2003 and trying to create an ASP.NET project fired an error saying that IIS had to be running .NET 1.1. the question is how to get IIS to recognize .NET 1.1 which is already on the machine. Does this require a (re)install of .NET 1.1. If so, should it be an install on top of the existing one or an uninstall followed by an install? Or, is there another way to get IIS to run under 1.1 w/o un-re-installing .NET 1.1?
