If this is a multi-user app, it may not be operational. Is it writing the changes to the setup.dbf on each user's local machine? If so, you'll get duplicate Id's.

Could you use an autoinc field for this? Or are you grabbing an ID that needs to be added to an existing record later, such as an invoice number?
