You've traced the code on the user's machine, and verified that the USE ALLTRIM() line is actually executing? Remove the SETUP.DBF from their hard drive, and put a MESSAGEBOX() call (or something like that) just before the USE statement (inside of the IF condition).
>Yes. Steve, make that 101 times I've looked at the ovar.sysdatapath. It's pointing to the network data directory. And teh alltrim is working okay. Up to this point, I have done the following:

>a. Created a new table with a different name (mastdata.dbf) on my local hard drive. Copied that table to the network data directory. Changed my code to point and look at MASTDATA instead of Setup.

>b. pulled my hair out (which i have none so i had to improvise and use a co-workers) because PART A listed above didnt work either. Got the same error unable to update teh cursor....
