How to retrieve records from dbf and fpt when cdx corrup

Backup your data first. Then you can always close all the files, delete the CDX file. Then open the table exclusively in order to recreate the CDX. As long as the DBF/FPT files are not corrupt, your data should still be there. Next suggestion is to backup daily to different media so you are not over-writing a good backup from the previous day with bad data from the current day.
