Just a general query looking form someone who might want some sales!

A friend of mine has just purchased an opticians (1st of 3 he states!)

He's looked at the general software packages and is not impressed, He is a "keep it simple" kind of guy. I don't have time to do something myself and wonderred if anyone out there has one that could be tweaked or translated from an overseas package?

He only wants basic functions:

Contact details
Appointments diary
Link to till sales

He currently using an access database for contacts, a written diay for appointments and has an old manual till.

Anyone got anything of interest?

I'm currently developing a system for the biggest Optician here in Brunei. Not yet finish but some of the important modules are almost finish. This consist of a Backend for HQ and frontend for branches at different locations. The frontend has the functionality of a POS and Job Services.
Im designing also for use with Card Readers, most probably Verifone Omni 3750 which I can test with our office spare units, (Our company just delivered 600 units of Verifone to two financial institution here in Brunei.)
