My in-laws are slightly northeast of Florence in a town called Lake View so I think they will be head to our house for the duration. I'm near the mountains so the worst of hit will probably stay east of us.....Do have a place at Edisto Beach that I hope survives.....I may finally appreciated those extremely high insurance premiums I've been having to pay !!! Hope not, but you never know.....!!!!

>Our parent office is in Florence, SC. Hopefully it will not hit either them or us but chances are it will hit at least one of us and probably both to some extent. Let's hope it downgrades to a tropical storm by then. Mother nature sure knows how to spoil a 3-day weekend. We get so few of them too. Batten down the hatches!

>>Looks like Francis is heading our way....Latest reports say Jacksonville. If so, it's headed straight for you in Hope Mills......

>>>In the summer of 1989 I was driving through Texas and there were tornadoes all over the state. There was one about 2 miles off the highway and it was traveling parallel with the highway for awhile as we drove along. There was no place to stop so we kept going while watching it continuously to see if it turned towards us. Never again. I'll take a hurricane anyday (well almost anyday as long as it is not a CAT4 or CAT5) :o)
