Recommendations for memory configuration for FPDOS/FPW under Win32 OS FAQ #15468
>
I've tried that and still keep getting GPF and Illegal Instruction errors.
The application currently is working correctly on Win NT machines. It has worked just fine on Win95 and Win98 machines. I've tried the Compatability Wizzard for all three environments and keep getting errors.
My CONFIG.FPW file contains only one line
memlimit = 100,16384
I've tried running the application from within Fox, rather than from the executable and it still blows up and cancels out of Fox.
ANY AND ALL IDEAS WILL BE GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED.
>>I support a FPW2.6 application which has been running fine for a number of years. The programs, ESL and data reside on a server. The NT based workstations (approximately 10-15 simultaneous users) would map a drive to the server (call it the "Y" drive) and then invoke "Y:\folder\myprog.exe"

>>Now they have migrated everybody to an XP workstation. I tested all the functionality on an XP workstation and everything worked just fine. What we are experiencing is that after two or three hours online they would exit the program. The next time they log on, they are getting "Foxprow tried to execute an illegal instruction." When I saw it, that happened when it was trying to put a bitmap on the screen.

>>Any ideas on environment alterations, CONFIG.FPW settings, etc. will be MOST welcome.
