I've seen it. In one case I was able to reproduce it on demand. That case involved a "removeobject" method fired when the object to be removed had focus.
Some of the C5's may also be due to issues with the new versions of VFP. I have noticed memory leaks and VFP closing "events" more often with VFP 8 than I ever did with VFP 6 - but I am writing more "eloquent" code than I did with 6:0). Be creative - try to isolate the problem.
I ran through the debugger to resolve some C5 issues. The line of code, just before it failed and resolved back to the "read events" was the place I started working through.
