I guess it depends on what kind of features you're looking for in a calendar. I personally use the calendar that Paul Mrozowski wrote since it's not a control, but a VFP form that can be completely customized. Our app comes with a table of multi-country holidays going out for the next 40 years, and I was able to customize the behavior of the calendar to color code the holidays, including a tooltip of the holiday itself.
