Hurricane Frances is leaving Florida. It is now close to Tampa. Hope David in St. Petersburg and other locals are OK. The people in the Florida Panhandle and Alabama are next in line.

It was a 3-hour nightmare. Being so slow and so big, it took a long time to pass over everybody in Florida. Did a lot of damage to Central Florida (West Palm Beach, Daytona, the Cape, Orlando) but luckily although wet and windy we are OK in Miami.

Now Ivan is on the horizon. Could be here next weekend. It is a very strong storm (already a category 3 hhurricane) and is breaking reords for being so strong so early. Let's hope for the best.
