I have been running some local tests with VFP9.0 Beta and VFP 8.0 SP1. It seems that VFP8.0 beats 9.0Beta with a difference of 10%.

For my test, for argument sake, let's say I am converting 500,000 records from several FoxPro tables to another set of FoxPro tables. The hardware is the same, since I am use one workstation with a reboot in between each run.

In VFP 8.0, I can do this in 9 Min 8 Seconds. With VFP9.0 Beta, I can run the same data and code in 10 Min 16 seconds. The difference of 1 minute and 8 seconds. In a large scale, this would be bad.

Well see when the full release comes out, but I hope VFP doesn't start to lose it's speed.
