It looks as if you get the error at the very beginning, when the form just starts opening. This may mean the following: both forms try to lock the very first record in the database.
What sort of record locking or buffering mechanism do you use? I would suggest optimistic buffering (either record or table), since this will only lock the record when the user actually tries to save, greatly reducing unneded record locks.
