Porbably need to look at the character set (i vaguely remember a option in database desktop for it).

Try for the local in ACII for your idiom or if is available in UTF-8 maybe is best.

P.D: I recomend not use Paradox: is deprecated tecnology, requiere BDE and is not longer developed, is hard get advice on it.... You look at Firebird? Is free, open source, is the same like Interbase and can be deployed copyng ONLY a couple of files...
