Well, John's the one who thinks you can get a duplicate that way. The only way I can think you could get a duplicate that way is if your data got screwed up. Like if a user zaps the system table, or an update to the system table fails. In which case, the next time they try to add a record it will get an Update failure because the index is primary. And then you have the user run a routine which checks all you system records against the data and generates valid entries if necessary. It works great if you ask me.
