Also, I'm not sure what you mean here. If the INSERT QUERY is written properly in notepad, it will work fine when pasted into the command window. If you don't put semi-colons on the end of each line, it will fail. If you try to split a string literal among several lines, without formatting it correctly, it will fail. It will also fail if you try it that way in a VFP program.

Is see the problem you are having with the ODBC driver. Maybe we can come up with something to address that.
