I always use the grid for pick list. I don't like using a listbox as if it contains several hundreds of options, it will take too long. I have pick lists with over 100,000 options. This can't be done in a listbox. I like also to benefit of all the events and stuff like that related to the grid. Once the object is done, you can use it anywhere.
